Oxfam GB is recruiting for two experienced persons to manage its Humanitarian Programme in the different Liberia field locations (Nimba & Montsorrado) to support the development and implementation of current and future Oxfam programming. In addition they will represent Oxfam to government officials, UN agencies and other NGO staff, and develop donor funding proposals.
These are fixed term roles for approximately:
- 6 months – based in Nimba County (Saclepia Office),
- 12 months – based in Montsorrado County (Monrovia office).
We are looking for someone with proven experience of emergency and development work, and an understanding of the relevant issues, along with experience of effective management in an insecure environment. You should have experience of managing teams, budgeting, programme accounting and of integrating gender and diversity into emergency response programmes. You will need strong diplomacy and negotiation skills, and good spoken and written English. Experience of working in West Africa will be a distinct advantage, and experience of Liberia would also be a benefit.
