CARE is seeking a Project Manager Foundation for Peace Programme that will be responsible for the overall management of the programme in Yemen,guided by the programme proposal, bringing together expertise from each implementing partner. The position will ensure quality implementation of the project and a documentation of its learning. He/She will ensure that M&E systems are sound, and that best practice is shared and implemented. He/she will also be responsible for overall programme narrative reporting, collating data from each of the implementing partners, and overseeing the other key staff of this project.

Primary Skills:
- Advanced degree focusing on development, sociology, political sciences or field relevant to the objective of the program
- At least 7 years experience in senior management positions in governance, conflict prevention/resolution/ peace-building and/or community development projects
- At least 4 years experience in managing projects or programs in conflict prevention/resolution/governance programming and/or youth programmes
- Proven experience in managing local partnerships in complex settings
- Experience in managing, coaching staff
- Yemen-specific experience (Aden, Taiz, and Sana'a)
- Excellent communication, negotiation and training/facilitation skills
- Strong English language skills
- Strong experience and technical understanding of processes of conflict prevention/resolution/peace-building and governance strengthening in a fragile state environment
- Strong knowledge and understanding of youth development and participation frameworks
- Strong M&E experience
- Ability to work in a challenging environment, under high pressure and ability to cope with and manage complexity
- Good Arabic language skills
