This is an opportunity for 3 emergency response managers to join our elite team. As a Programme Manager, you will be typically responsible for managing a specific programme area, typically teams from 10 – 100 people including technical experts (such as Water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH), food security and a range of support services) and manage budgets up to £3 million.  You will work with limited supervision and autonomously sets programme level objectives. You might also be deployed at capital level to coordinate a country-wide emergency response.

 

You will be part of a team of approximately 63 RRT members comprising various different technical functions, and you will be deployed by Oxfam’s Humanitarian Department in Oxford. Sometimes you will be deployed into our biggest and most challenging emergency responses, sometimes into chronic, less visible crises.

 

You will be deployed from your home country. You must be prepared to travel at short notice to emergency response countries (deployments are normally 3-6 months, but can be longer).

 

Location: Various worldwide

Contracts: 1 x Open-ended and 2 x Fixed-term (until 31st December 2015), unaccompanied posts Hours: Full-time - 36 hours per week. Part time work negotiable (e.g. working 9 out of 12 months per year)
