Job Location: One role based in Monrovia and other role based in Grand Bassa.

 

Reports To:  Emergency Coordinator

 

Responsible for: Community Care Centre Supervisors.

 

Liaises with: Country Director, Assistant Country Director Programmes, Emergency Programme Managers, and Coordinators, Technical Advisers and Programme Partners

 

 

Job Purpose:

 

Responsible for management of 5 x Community Care Centres CCs with focus on protocols, patient care and Infection Prevention Control.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage Community Care Centre supervisors and support Community Care Centre health workers

 

  • Ensure protocols for Community Care Centre are in place and implemented.

 

  • Ensure Community health workers and carers are trained on Infection Prevention Control and basic care.

 

  • Ensure Infection Prevention Control protocols strictly observed

 

  • Provide support to Public Health Unit officers-in-charge on triage and basic primary health services

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL

 

 

 

Education, Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Relevant qualification in Nursing or Public Health or other relevant discipline
  • Practicing clinical nurse w/ infection prevention control experience;

 

Desirable:

  • Overseas experience preferred but not necessary (clinical nurse with recent practice experience who knows CMAM or CCM is a distinct advantage.

  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to work with a multi-national team in an emergency environment
  • Ability to manage multiple job tasks
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

  • Ability to cope with stress, work under pressure often to strict deadlines
