An innovative leader with strategic oversight and a passion for Oxfam`s work is needed for the key position of Business Systems Manager.

 

Contract Type: This role is a 2 years accompanied post, however, given that the country is presently facing an outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease, the post will temporarily be unaccompanied by dependents until the situation in country stabilises.

 

The role: Reporting to the Oxfam International Country Director in Freetown, you are responsible for managing and co-coordinating the effective and efficient implementation of professional day-to-day support services for the Sierra Leone programme. You will coordinate with the Programme Managers to implement `best practices` in all programme service areas including finance, logistics, and administration services and create a coordination team who can respond innovatively and effectively to the operational business requirements of the programme team. Together with Programme Managers, you will ensure that Oxfam lives up to high standards of accountability to beneficiaries and donors.

 

The Person: To achieve these results, you should be flexible, ambitious, creative, and determined. You are proactive with experience in managing support services in development and humanitarian environments and bring with you a wide range of skills, including excellent people and financial management skills, strong strategic and operational decision making ability, backed-up by solid experience. You must be a strong leader with the ability to challenge, motivate and develop teams. You must be fluent in written and spoken English; naturally strong communication skills. You must have a broad understanding of complex emergencies and complex programming, including elements of humanitarian, transition and development programmes. Most importantly, you are ready to rise to the challenge.
