Oxfam is seeking an expert in knowledge management to join our mobile emergency response team.  As an excellent networker and facilitator, you will be responsible for helping multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams work better together by encouraging learning, through a variety of systems, events, and materials which work across a range of learning styles and technical abilities.

The post-holder can expect to spend almost all their working time (excluding annual leave) on deployment, with some short periods in Oxford or at their home base between deployments. The ability to travel and work overseas in difficult circumstances for extended periods of time are essential for this job.

We are looking for someone with proven communication skills of the highest quality, suitable for communicating with a range of internal and external audiences, including influencing senior managers. You will need the ability to convey complex information in a straightforward, motivating way, have excellent influencing and confident networking skills, and be able to foster collaborative, transparent, and accountable relationships with partners. You should also have experience of providing specialist guidance to others on a range of communications solutions that would be right for their audience/subject, as well as experience in the design and facilitation of learning events. Fluent English is essential and other languages are highly desirable, in particular Spanish, French, or Arabic.
