Oxfam Great Britain is recruiting for an experienced person to manage its Humanitarian Programme in the different South Sudan field locations where teams are operating. They will also carry out ongoing monitoring and provide clear analysis of the humanitarian situation and of the Oxfam response to senior management to support the development and implementation of current and future Oxfam programming. In addition they will represent Oxfam to government officials, UN agencies and other NGO staff, and develop donor funding proposals.

We are looking for someone with proven experience of emergency and development work, and an understanding of the relevant issues, along with experience of effective management in an insecure environment. You should have experience of managing teams, budgeting, programme accounting and of integrating gender and diversity into emergency response programmes. You will need strong diplomacy and negotiation skills, and good spoken and written English. Experience of working with refugees or IDPs in a camp situation will be a distinct advantage, and experience of South Sudan would also be a benefit.
