We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join us as Senior Corporate Programme Manager. Through overseeing the design, implementation and monitoring of grants, the Programme Manager will play a key role in helping to ensure that we make a significant difference for children’s lives across the globe.

Working in more than 120 countries, we do whatever it takes to create breakthroughs in the way the world treats children. Our UK and Global Programmes department delivers humanitarian and development programmes, builds partnerships with institutional donors – including governments, multi-laterals and trusts – and drives lasting change. Together, we save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential.

As Senior Corporate Programme Manager you will maintain comprehensive oversight of all projects within the GSK portfolio, through establishing and/or maintaining robust programme and grant management systems adopted consistently across the partnership. You will support the achievement of project objectives through effective award and programme management and quality assurance for a portfolio of programmes. In addition you will:

  • Ensure information collected through the review, monitoring and reporting of GSK funded programmes are shared with relevant stakeholders and utilized for strategic decision making and continuous learning
  • Work closely with country programme teams and technical teams at SCUK to ensure the effective and timely quality implementation of project intervention
  • Contribute to establishing and consolidating ways of working with key stakeholders from other departments or teams to ensure their work is aligned to the GSK partnership requirements and priorities
  • Manage a team of GSK corporate grant officers, ensuring they are empowered to deliver against their personal goals and contribute towards the partnership objectives
  • Monitor the financial performance of the Partnership’s management budgets and support the head of Corporate Programme Management team in developing the budget for 2018.

To be successful you will have strong experience of programme management in a country office and be able to work on your own initiative with little supervision. An excellent communicator, you will have the ability to produce high quality proposals, reports and presentations. Experience with financial management and the ability to carry out budget forecast/analysis is also essential. In addition you will have:

  • Strong experience of grant management and donor financial reporting
  • Experience working with corporate partner funding
  • Proven experience of managing relationships in complex organisations with numerous stakeholders
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to influence, manage and motivate staff in a wide range of contexts
  • A willingness and ability to travel globally up to three months per year.

At Save the Children we are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children in our work. We will do everything possible to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children are recruited to work for us. This post is subject to a range of vetting checks including a criminal records disclosure.

Our mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. If you share our mission, are passionate about making it happen and strongly believe you can contribute then join us and we'll give you every opportunity to succeed. We look forward to hearing from you.
