Joanita Britto Menon

Legal Programme Manager, Asia

Joanita is the Legal Programme Manager for Asia, overseeing and managing TrustLaw's programme in the region. As part of her role, she supports her team in facilitating pro bono legal assistance between lawyers, social enterprises and NGOs in an advisory or research capacity.

Joanita brings over eight years of experience working for the rights of victims of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. During this time she has supported the work of International Justice Mission and other anti-trafficking agencies in India, to support public prosecutors in relevant courts of law in the conviction of traffickers. Joanita has supported multiple projects for the rehabilitation and restoration of survivors of trafficking and sexual offences in the course of her career. She has a Bachelors degree in Mass Media from St. Xavier's College Mumbai, a Bachelor's degree in Law from ILS Law College Pune and a Masters in Business Law from DED NLSIU Bangalore.
