Jane Nzomo

Programme Officer


Jane joined the Thomson Reuters Foundation in November 2021 as a Programme Officer for Sub-Saharan Africa. She is the relationship manager for our NGO and social enterprise members across the region.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Jane worked as an Assistant Administrative Coordinator at the University of Minnesota’s study abroad program (Minnesota Studies in International Development, MSID) in Kenya. At MSID, Jane held multiple roles, including the coordination of the placement of over 500 international students at 200 NGOs, Social enterprises, CBOs and government institutions for internship opportunities. Jane also served in administrative roles with the World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and has experience in client engagement and project management. She was awarded the prestigious Al Balkcum Award for excellence in and commitment to serving Minnesota University Students Abroad. Jane co-authored a book chapter entitled “Deepening Reentry Impact Through Inclusive Practice in Education Abroad” with four other US-based practitioner-scholars working in the field of Education Abroad.

Jane holds a degree in Environmental Science from Kenyatta University and a Diploma in Project Management from Kenya Institute of Management.
