Maeve Anne Halpin joined the Thomson Reuters Foundation in 2018 as the Community Engagement Officer for Trust Law. She is responsible for communications efforts of TrustLaw and engaging with our TrustLaw network. Maeve’s specialisms include Women’s Rights, Gender Empowerment and Global Health.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Maeve worked in communications and outreach roles within the International Development Sector. She has worked in Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States for NGOs, UN and donor agencies and social enterprises. Past experience includes working on the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs) dialogues in Cambodia for the UNDP and national implementation plan for the Department of Foreign Affairs in Ireland. Maeve also led communications & advocacy for two Global Health coalitions in Washington DC and co-authored the global publication: No Protection, No Respect- Safeguarding Health in Conflict in 2016 for the World Humanitarian Summit.
Maeve has a Bachelor of Arts (honours) from Trinity College Dublin in European Studies, Certificat d’Etudes Politiques from Sciences Po Grenoble (IEP) and an MSc in Africa and International Development.
