Protecting Civil Society
Civil society holds institutions to account, delivers essential services and defends human rights. But that space is shrinking. Laws are being weaponised against those who defend it, while NGOs and social enterprises navigate increasingly restrictive legal environments and deep funding cuts.
We help civil society organisations remain effective under pressure, widening access to legal and operational expertise. We also work to scale the practice of pro bono across the legal profession, and to provide free legal support and resources to at-risk communities, to strengthen justice and protect democracy worldwide.
