Nicole Young is a distinguished producer for 60 Minutes, America’s most-watched news program, now in its 57th season. Her work has contributed significantly to the program’s acclaim, earning her sixteen News and Documentary Emmy Awards, four Alfred I. DuPont Columbia Awards, seven Writer’s Guild Awards, and five Edward R. Murrow Awards.

Young’s recent assignments have taken her to cover critical global events such as the Ukraine crisis, the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, and the aftermath of tornadoes in Kentucky. She has also reported on significant issues like COVID-19, social injustice, and the attempted assassination of former President Trump. Additionally, she has covered high-profile interviews with celebrities, including Cillian Murphy. Young’s fearless reporting includes front-line coverage in Syria, documentation of famines in South Sudan and Yemen, and investigations into toxic electronic waste in China. Her stories often highlight pressing social issues within the U.S., including job loss, poverty, homelessness, and child hunger.

In addition to her role at 60 Minutes, Young is the Senior Producer for the 60 Minutes FAST channel and has held a senior producer position at CBS Evening News, where she produced interviews with notable figures such as Former President Barack Obama, Pope Francis, and Former First Lady Michelle Obama. Young began her career at CBS as an intern at 19 and joined 60 Minutes in 2003. She resides in the New York area with her family.
